AppServer naming conventions (less characters supported in O

Hi,

I was trying to add an AppServer in OE Explorer 11.3. I'm used to name my AppServers like as-blabla-test, which wasn't a problem up to 11.2.

Now I get a message that I'm not allowed to use special characters. What are the new rules? Just [a-z][0-9] and that's it?

This would mean that upgrading our application with 100+ customers is less straightforward than it used to be.

Thanks

PS. I couldn't find an appropriate forum subgroup for this, hence the maybe not so logical choice to post in RDBMS

I would log a call with tech support.

See what happens when you add the appserver name in the ubroker.properties file or create one call ASTEST and then go to ubroker.properties to see if you can rename it and start the Appserver.

It may just be an OE Management issue with the Web interface.

Its a bug.  Please contact tech support and let them know.  I've logged a CR for this OE00242221 for this.

I just received a mail (that was quick!) that OE00242221, and therefore my case, is fixed 11.3.1, due end this month.

Thanks for the input.
