Shortcut to https://appbuilder.mobile.progress.com/projects

I have a small question that I ran into yesterday, that I am going to answer for others who may me interested.

With the update of OpenEdge Mobile to the new Mobile App Builder that is shared with Rollbase private-cloud installations, I had some links in my browser that no longer work.

In particular, I had links to:

      https://appbuilder.mobile.progress.com/projects

These are being redirected to a location with a different certificate, and eventually to a Progress page for updating from ESD

Is there a shortcut? (Spoiler alert... yes).

The page you are directed to is this one (at http://www.progress.com/openedge-mobile)

There are two key points:

  1. Direct Access to Mobile AppBuilder:  You can go to your Mobile Projects directly at the new link:

    https://appdesigner.rollbase.com/app/projects

This brings you to a new Mobile Dashboard page for accessing projects, teams, and services.

  2. The second point it that you do need to install a hot fix for older Progress Developer Studios for OpenEdge in order to go to the new Mobile AppBuilder.   The page you are directed to from the old link is labelled "OpenEdge Update 11.4", but the ESD site contains specific packages to update your older PDSOE without upgrading to 11.4 itself.
