DataDirect OpenAccess for OE deprecated?

Hi,

we wanted to order an update from OpenAccess for OE 8.0 to 8.1 and got the information that 8.0 will be the last version of OpenAccess for OE. 

Can somebody tell us what that means? Is OpenAccess for OE deprecated...?

The feature updates of OpenAccess 8.1 are not related to OpenAccess for OpenEdge. Please go ahead with OpenAccess for OE 8.0. Your update request is received.

OpenAccess for OpenEdge is not deprecated – OpenAccess 8.1 for OpenEdge is on the roadmap but since the current user base is not requesting it, it has a lower priority than other OpenAccess features.
