Corticon WSDL Generation in Server Console

Posted by Chris S. Hogan on 07-Mar-2014 09:01

The default method for generating a decision service contract is to use the Deployment Console. This enhancement to the Server Console provides an alternative. The generation of the WSDL is automatic, and is URL based.

Place these 2 .jsp pages into the axis webapp directory under your Corticon Server deployment. One is a new page, the other is an update to an existing one. When you drill down to a decision services detail, you will see a clickable link for the WSDL. This will open a new tab with the contents of the WSDL. You can then copy/paste the URL to use for your application.

You must ensure that your Ruleflow has a work document entity defined for the WSDL generation to work correctly.

Here is an update to the CcDecisionServiceDetails.jsp

This shows the additional details included in 5.3.4

Hello Chris,

In Corticon 5.4, WorkDocumentEntity has been removed, I believe the .jsp's attached to this thread will not work in 5.4.

Correct ?

Thanks,

Jan

James,

The JSP uses the Corticon Deployment APIs to generate the WSDL. I have not tested this against 5.4, so I can’t comment on the compatibility.

At a Corticon PoC in the UK recently, a prospect found the deployment console counter-intuitive but liked this Corticon Server Console WSDL extension.  They ask if there is any equivalent in Corticon 5.4 and if there are any plans to add this functionality to the product?

That latest release of Corticon includes the built in WSDL generation in the Server Console. The link is found on the page listing all decision services.

Please find the WSDL generation capability on this screenshot. Note the decision services overview with the WSDL generation button on the right.
